And last, but not least, there is the issue of money. When you own your own home you usually have a higher payment than you would renting a home, and there is a little more risk because you have mortgage payments and repairs that you have to pay yourself. Rent is less expensive, but there is no investment with the money. You pay your rent for the month and that is it. You will never see that money again.
